Silver spoon? that's the closest I've got.  It has been quite some time. Well~ a relaxing night after a long and tiring day is worth a good treat.

Bugis village (Bugis, 2012), the once famous notorious night activity area where fashionable transvestites attract sailors and military personnel in the 1950s. In this 21st century, it becomes a renowned area to shop.   Most of the clothes sold here are imported from Thailand and Korea, although the price of it is twice the amount sold over in Thailand, it is still considered cheap as compared to those sold in retail shops. Nevertheless, other than shopping, Singaporeans cannot live without food, so the way to a Singaporean's money is through the stomach.

After a recent facelift in 2012, Bugis returns with an air conditional building of a wide selection of retails and F&B stalls. If you are rushing for time to complete as much shopping as you can within the day, you do not need to leave the building to get food.

Located at level 3, is a Thai and local food stall. Both are sharing the same compound. Menus are placed side by side so that you will not have to fret about which stall and dish to pick; simply pick one from each. If you are a lover of authentic Thailand food but refuse to step into Golden mile, you should visit Phong Thai Food which is located at 3 New Bugis Street, #03-38, Bugis, 188867. I will advise you to visit it with a few of your friends or family, so that more variety of food could be ordered and shared. This was what I did with two other friends of mine.

Without looking at the menu, my first craving was Phad Thai! It is a dish of stir fried noodles with eggs, shrimp, chicken and many other ingredients. Not forgetting peanuts, sugar, chilli pepper and lime, this three brings out the uniqueness of Phad Thai's flavour as it lingers in my mouth and nose. The taste of sweetness, sour and spiciness gushed through my senses at one go with the temptation of stuffing more.

Don't expect someone to walk you to your seat each time you visit. While a tanned petit lady in her mid 40s was taking my order, two other tanned women were busy cooking in an estimated 3meter by 3 meter stall. Her accent gave me a familiar experience I had while touring in Thailand, immediately; I started to drift off again. Captivated by the smell of sizzling fluffy egg.

Lost to temption, I got us a plate of Basil chicken rice  and a cup of Thai milk tea. While waiting for our food to be served, we found ourselve browsing through the menus of the Thai and local food stall. A tactic used to sitimulate our hungry stomach which made us order more. Waiting time wasn't long, it took them five to ten mins to have our meals served. It usually took about 20-30 mins before food was served when I was dining at a coffeeshop or a western restuarant.  Food being food, it was so difficult to overcome the temptation and we ordered Thai Curry noodles when the helper, a local guy in his late 30s, softspoken and heartworking. Cleaning up tables and serving wih a smile,

 served us with Phad Thai , Basil chicken rice and Thai milk tea. The stir fried egg was served with Basil chicken rice, we quickly took a bite of it, to our disappoinment it wasn't what we expected. It was bland and doesn't tast salty as of what it smelt like while frying. Afterwhich I took a spoonful of chicken , egg and rice. it was absolutly amazing, the combination was just right. The stir fried mince chicken with basil leaf was morderately spicy and the level of saltiness was just right with the mixture of egg and rice smoothing out the aroma .

Moments later, Thai Curry noodle was served in a large black bowl which was  suppose to be used by the local food stall. Having witness a young lady in her early 20s slurping, perspiring and having a running nose from a bowl of steamy hot curry noodle, we prepared ourselves with a pack of serviette.  Indeed, this fusion of Thai noodle influenced  from the chinese noodle and indian spices  had an intense and fragrant aftertaste and the thickness of the curry was just right.

Nothing wraps a sumption Thai meal better than a cup of ice cold Thai milk tea, which is famous for the useage of sweetened condensed milk. It helps ease off the tingling feel and spiciness left on your tongue and throat. An intention to have a bite turns out to be a gigantic "bite", leaving us no choice but to continue shopping to walk off the guilt. It is one guilty pleasure I would definately desire to expirence  again.

Seriously, in this busy lifestyle of ours. Does any soul gives a shit about the minor details of life. Anyone even bothered to stop what they are hung up with, to think, to observe, to care.
The little bubbles, taking its time, sweet sweet time . Awaits your discovery. Not a single soul, mind about the bubbles, only panicking when situation starts to boil up, overheat, till the point whereby situation gets out of hand.
